Public Services

If a career working in a frontline or supporting role for the emergency services or Armed Forces is just the job, we have the courses to fit…...

You will develop the skills and discipline you need including teamwork, communication, initiative and leadership. You will also have the chance to undertake additional qualifications like nutrition and health, emergency first aid, fitness instructing, canoe and mountain biking.

Our public service students take part in action-packed practical activities and pursuits, including abseiling, mountain-biking, raft-building, canoeing and archery.

To support your learning, you will also have the opportunity of regular industry placements and to join in day and residential trips including supporting the local police force and emergency services with their training activities and scenarios.

Our highly experienced tutors have had varied careers in law, outdoor pursuits and served abroad in the Armed Forces, with some still working as adventure training experts.

Recently a member of the British Army delivered talks about his own experiences in the Army to showcase the benefits of working for the Army and how students can join.
