Beauty Therapy

Study all aspects of beauty therapy - both theoretical and practical - in our commercial salons using the latest equipment and products and test your skills on fellow students and members of the public. You will study everything from anatomy and science to facials and treatments, body treatments, hair removal, hands and feet, salon reception and managerial skills. Optional additional short courses include ear piercing and the latest fashion techniques. Our tutors have a wealth of experience and specialist knowledge in the beauty industry, including managing beauty salons and as freelance beauty therapists. You will undertake regular industry placements in local salons, spas and settings. Many of our students progress to our degree-level courses or into employment as beauty therapists in salons and on cruise liners.

You will work in a commercial salon environment and study everything from the science behind hair conditions to chemical services and practical hair techniques. Our training salons feature industry-standard equipment and products allowing you to learn in an exceptionally high-quality, professional working environment. They are regularly used by members of the public who can access a wide range of salon treatments. During your studies, you will complete an industry placement within a salon environment, gaining experience of everyday salon life. Optional additional short courses include hair extension application. You must purchase a kit and uniform to meet the salons’ high standards and will also be involved in events and competitions to boost and showcase your skills.
